INSPIRATION glass bottles, jars & candles

hi dear readers,
as you may know, the idea of recycling and splitting "garbage" is quite widespread in Germany. You have a lot of options by separating biological waste from packages, plastic and even glass…
But what happens when the bottles or glasses you have already used and cleaned still can be useful for the household and decoration?
Here are some ideas of what you could do with empty wine or juice bottles and even glass jars!

In winter time fake flowers could be a decoration option in glass bottles or maybe even dry flowers from a nice summer day you want to remember...

A nice lavender bunch makes your room smell nice and it is very decorative inside a glass jar.

There once were candles on these bottles... But try and use the idea of using old crêpe paper to make clear bottles look colourful!

Spotted by Christin in an Irish Pub! Great idea!

Again: Candles in bottles. Spotted in a bar in København.

Philippa used a black candle, very extravagant!

A lamp made out of a wine bottle! Spotted in København

Another type of candles: gel candles! It is very fun to make and you have so many free options to decorate them using  different shells!

Which one do you like the best and which one could earn a place in your home? Have you tried out anything similar?

INSPIRATION: Hip teens don't wear long jeans!

Hey guys!

Am I the only one who's sick of the winter and the cold? I badly want summer to come!
In order to prepare for the summer time, I decided to cut a pair of my jeans. It's not necessary to buy new shorts each and every year. Look into your closet and you will most probably find some jeans or other pants you don't wear anymore. Simply get some scissors and cut them! It's up to you if they get just a bit shortened or really short. You can also vary by rolling the pant legs up. Of course, it's possible to add some individual style to the shorts, for example by using studs, some fabric, colors, etc. Just be creative yourself! And don't throw away the cut out fabric! Reuse it in one way or another!

It'd be great if you could post photos of your self-created shorts and contribute your ideas!
Summer, we're getting ready for you to come! ;)

the Creative Minds

INSPIRATION studs here studs there studs everywhere

Hi dear readers,
When walking down the streets of the cities where you live you probably have noticed the great number of accessories or clothes embellished with studs!
It is indeed a trend which has developed throughout the last few months or even years among us fashion lovers! So nowadays studs are no longer a punk-only accessory. People who want to give their outfit an interesting accent also use them to "pimp up" their style!
Shoes, sweaters, t-shirts, jeans, boots and even purses with studs can be seen all over the stores at the moment!
Christin already gave us an option of how to do a studded piece of cloth by yourself HERE. But have you thought about other options or tried it out on another garment? There are such a great variety of studs!!
All you need are the same implements Christin used. If you don't have a belt such as Christin's, you can easily acquire  studs for a very good price on ebay!

We want to give you a little inspiration with this post… What do you think about this "trend"? And which idea would you like to try out if you could?

We would be thrilled to read your responses and maybe even suggestions for other items!

the creative minds

Kristina used studs to embellish her 2-year old leather jacket. Do you like it? (leather jacket via H&M & thanks for her contributing with the second picture!!!)

Do you have an old pair of shoes? It is so simple and you can create an individual look by deciding how to place the studs! (shoes via Vans)

Milena had the idea to give her pullover a more glaring look and added other studs to the already existing ones. (Pullover via Primark)

If you have a rather simple cap you can give it your personal touch with some studs!

As you can see there are so many ways of embellishing and giving things your own touch with the help of studs!
